The Sevan SEMI FPU is engineered for optimal efficiency, minimizing both cost and production time, while maintaining the highest level of scalability and flexibility to meet unique client and project requirements.
Main hull
- Double symmetric main hull consisting of a ring pontoon and four vertical, octagonal shaped columns.
- No curved surfaces for a production friendly design.
- The main hull can be built in blocks, ensuring an efficient building process. Standardized structural solutions, ensuring scalability.
Topside integration
- Topside module for single lift integration.
- One main frame, consisting of trusses and two decks, providing flexibility while keeping weight to a minimum.
- Multiple topside modules can be produced and pre-commissioned simultaneously and placed on the main frame before the complete topside module can be lifted onto the main hull.
This ensures efficient topside construction and integration, minimizing production time and cost.
Simplified layout
By using cassion pumps the equipment installed in column void spaces are kept to a minimum.
Material handling
No need for equipment handling trough congested areas and no need for equipment service elevators.
Maintenance
All equipment can be serviced from top deck. All valves are dry and can be accessed in column void spaces.
Safety
No daily access needed in the hull. Tank entry required for inspection only.
Stability
No direct sea water inlets in column/pontoons, reducing risk of flooding of these areas.
Motions
The Sevan SEMI FPU provides favourable motion characteristics due to its semi- submersible structure.
Air gap
The platform maintains a highly sufficient air gap in extreme weather, helping to ensure safe operations and minimize downtime during storms.
Mooring system
A semi-taut mooring system with a limited seabed footprint, combining polyester lines with moderate chain sizes. Inline tensioners, reducing both CAPEX and OPEX.
Mooring experience
The mooring system draws on extensive experience from previous Sevan circular hull projects, offering a proven, robust, system tailored for efficiency and reliability in deepwater applications.
